JFF, Inc. was founded at the conclusion of the 2005 World Expo in Aichi, Japan, the culmination of years of work. The name of the organization is an acronym for the title of our flagship event, Japan Folk Festival.
It represents my deep respect for Japanese culture and my desire to share this culture with people around the world.
Our network draws from the many people I worked with over the course of the Expo and earlier. Every connection made through these cultural events, both within and outside of Japan, represents an important link in a global chain of understanding. Through these efforts, I hope to welcome more “Japan fans” from around the world to our cultural events, and offer an organization that contributes to multicultural awareness and appreciation.
